We have divided the city up into three areas to allow us to work within each area to address specific local health issues and ensure we are commissioning the right services in the right place.
North and Central Locality
Bassett, Portswood, Swaythling, Bevois Valley, Freemantle, Bargate.
East and South Locality
Bitterne, Sholing, Thornhill, Woolston, West End
West Locality
Redbridge, Shirley, Lordshill, Millbrook.
Priority Neighbourhoods
As with many cities in the UK, there are health inequalities within the City which are focused around 11 priority neighbourhoods:
Lordshill, Outer Shirley, Flowers Estate, Townhill Park, Portswood/St Denys, Shirley Estate, Harefield, Thornhill, Weston, Freemantle/Polygon, Central
